Who owns ARG Concrete LLC?
ARG Concrete LLC is owned and operated by Christian Ramos Guerrero. Christian has been working in the construction industry since he was 15 years old and has extensive hands-on experience with concrete mixing, pouring, and finishing. He holds a CDL and has driven concrete mixer trucks, giving him deep knowledge of every concrete mix and application. What makes ARG Concrete different from other concrete companies in Charlotte?
ARG Concrete is one of the few companies in Charlotte that provides both concrete supply and labor under one roof. Most contractors have to source their concrete from a separate supplier and coordinate deliveries independently — with ARG Concrete, you get the concrete, the equipment, and the skilled labor all on a single invoice. This eliminates scheduling headaches, reduces costs, and gives you a single point of contact from start to finish. Our pricing is among the most competitive in the Charlotte area without sacrificing quality.
Is ARG Concrete licensed and insured?
Yes. ARG Concrete LLC is a fully registered and operating limited liability company serving the greater Charlotte, NC area. We carry the appropriate insurance coverage to protect both our team and our customers on every job site. If you need proof of insurance or licensing documentation for your project, please contact us directly and we will provide it promptly.
Can I reach ARG Concrete after normal business hours?
Absolutely — and this is one of the biggest advantages of working with ARG Concrete. You can reach Christian directly by phone call or text message at (980) 418-0023, even late at night. Whether you need to place a last-minute order at 11 PM or cancel a delivery after hours, Christian personally monitors his phone and will respond. You will never have to deal with an automated phone system or wait until the next business day for a response.

Concrete Mixes & Technical Questions
What PSI concrete mixes does ARG Concrete offer?
We offer a range of concrete mixes to match the strength requirements of your specific project. Our standard mixes include 3,000 PSI, 3,500 PSI, 4,000 PSI, and 5,000 PSI options. We also carry specialty mixes including a 2-inch pump mix with pea gravel and a 3,500 PSI curb mix. Our team can help you determine the right PSI rating and mix type based on your project specifications and local building requirements.
What PSI concrete do I need for a driveway in Charlotte, NC?
For most residential driveways in the Charlotte area, a 3,500 PSI or 4,000 PSI mix is recommended. A 3,500 PSI mix provides a strong balance of durability and workability for standard vehicle traffic, while 4,000 PSI offers added strength for heavier loads or longer expected lifespan. Our team will assess your specific situation — including soil conditions, expected traffic, and local code requirements — and recommend the best mix for your project.
Does ARG Concrete offer fiber-reinforced concrete?
Yes. We offer fiber as an optional additive that can be mixed into any of our standard concrete mixes. Fiber reinforcement helps reduce cracking, improves impact resistance, and increases the overall tensile strength of the finished slab. It is commonly used in driveways, garage floors, and commercial slabs where long-term durability is a priority. Ask us about adding fiber to your order when you request a quote.
Can you pour concrete in cold weather in Charlotte?
Yes, we can pour concrete during the cooler months in Charlotte, though cold weather does require some additional precautions to ensure proper curing. We offer hot water and calcium chloride as optional additives that accelerate the curing process and protect the concrete from freezing temperatures. Our team will advise you on the best approach based on the current weather conditions and your project timeline.
How do I know how many yards of concrete I need for my project?
The amount of concrete you need depends on the length, width, and thickness of the area being poured. As a general rule, multiply the length by the width by the depth (all in feet) and divide by 27 to get cubic yards. We recommend adding 5 to 10 percent extra to your calculation to account for waste, spillage, uneven ground, and form spreading. When you contact us for a quote, we will help you calculate the exact yardage needed for your project so you avoid ordering too little or too much.
How long does concrete take to cure?
Concrete typically reaches enough strength to walk on within 24 to 48 hours after pouring. For driveways and areas that will support vehicle traffic, we recommend waiting at least 7 days before driving on the surface. Full curing — where the concrete reaches its maximum rated strength — takes approximately 28 days. During this period, it is important to keep the concrete moist and avoid heavy loads or harsh chemicals on the surface.
How much does ready-mix concrete cost per yard in Charlotte, NC?
Our ready-mix concrete pricing starts at $188 per cubic yard for a standard 3,000 PSI mix. All of our per-yard prices include taxes, fuel fees, and travel charges — there are no hidden costs. Higher-strength mixes and specialty options like pump mix or curb mix are available at slightly higher rates. Optional additives such as fiber, hot water, and calcium are available for an additional per-yard charge. Contact us for a detailed quote based on your specific mix and volume requirements.
Is there a minimum order for concrete delivery?
We can deliver any amount of concrete to your job site. However, orders of 3 cubic yards or less are subject to a $300 small-load fee. This fee covers the operational costs of dispatching a mixer truck for smaller pours. For projects requiring more than 3 yards, there is no additional fee beyond the per-yard price. If you are unsure whether your project qualifies as a small load, give us a call and we will help you figure out the most cost-effective approach.
Does ARG Concrete offer volume discounts?
Yes. We offer flexible pricing based on monthly volume. Customers who place consistent yardage orders may qualify for discounted rates after working with us for at least one month. If you are a contractor or builder with ongoing concrete needs, contact us to discuss a volume pricing arrangement that fits your project pipeline.
What payment methods does ARG Concrete accept?
For one-time customers, we require full payment at least one day before the scheduled pour date. For long-term clients who work with us regularly, we offer a credit program with net-15 payment terms. To qualify for credit, you will need to complete a credit application and provide basic identification. Contact us to learn more about our payment options and credit program.
Does ARG Concrete offer any discounts for first-time customers?
Yes — we currently offer $300 off your first concrete order as a new customer. We also waive or discount the fuel and environmental fees for select orders. Contact us directly to learn about current promotions and how they apply to your specific project.
Does ARG Concrete provide free estimates?

Scheduling & Process
What does the process look like for starting a project with ARG Concrete?
Getting started with ARG Concrete is straightforward. First, call or text us at (980) 418-0023 to discuss your project. We will provide a free quote based on the scope of work, materials needed, and your timeline. For one-time projects, we require full payment at least one day before the scheduled pour. For customers looking to establish an ongoing working relationship, we offer a credit application process. Once payment or credit terms are confirmed, we schedule your delivery or pour and get to work.
How far in advance do I need to schedule a concrete pour?
We recommend scheduling your pour as early as possible to secure your preferred date, especially during the busy spring and summer months. However, one of the advantages of working with ARG Concrete is our flexibility — you can reach us after hours to place last-minute orders or make schedule changes. Call or text Christian directly at (980) 418-0023 and we will do our best to accommodate your timeline.
Can I cancel or reschedule my concrete delivery?
Yes. We understand that construction schedules can change due to weather, permit delays, or other factors. You can reach us by phone or text — even after business hours — to cancel or reschedule your delivery. We ask for as much notice as possible so we can adjust our schedule accordingly, but we are flexible and will work with you to find a new date that works.
What should I have ready before the concrete truck arrives?
(For Contractors) Before delivery day, make sure your forms are set, any required rebar or wire mesh is in place, and the subgrade is properly compacted and graded. The area should be accessible to the concrete mixer truck — clear any obstacles along the path from the street to the pour site. You will also need a washout area for the truck after the pour is complete. If you are unsure about any of these steps, contact us, and we will walk you through everything you need to prepare.

Concrete Maintenance & Aftercare
How do I maintain my new concrete driveway or patio?
Proper maintenance will help your concrete last for decades. We recommend sealing your concrete surface within the first 30 to 90 days after installation and resealing every 2 to 3 years. Keep the surface clean by sweeping regularly and washing away stains with mild soap and water. Avoid using salt-based deicers during winter as they can cause surface spalling and deterioration over time. If you notice minor cracks developing, address them early with a concrete crack filler to prevent moisture from penetrating and causing further damage.
Is it normal for concrete to crack?
Minor hairline cracking in concrete is common and usually does not indicate a structural problem. Concrete is a rigid material that naturally expands and contracts with temperature changes, which can produce small surface cracks over time. Proper installation techniques — including control joints, correct mix design, fiber reinforcement, and adequate curing — significantly reduce the risk and severity of cracking. If you notice large or widening cracks in your concrete, contact a professional to assess whether repair is needed.
Should I seal my new concrete?
Yes. Applying a quality concrete sealer is one of the best things you can do to protect your investment. Sealing creates a barrier against moisture, staining, freeze-thaw damage, and UV exposure. For exterior concrete in the Charlotte area, we recommend applying a penetrating or acrylic sealer within the first 30 to 90 days after your pour, and reapplying every 2 to 3 years depending on traffic and weather exposure.
